I just returned from an amazing trip to Ireland to see a very good friend of mine getting married. Didn't she look just stunning. It felt great and a little bit weird to be at a wedding not "running around" but rather sipping on chilled and bubbly prosecco :-).
Not only that I had a fantastic time seeing old friends but I have to say that it was a great experience for the wedding planner in me. We organize many Irish weddings in Prague and it was very useful to be part of one very traditional Irish wedding in Ireland.
It was as Irish as it could be - Catholic ceremony with a mass in a village church near to the Bride's house - with the whole village and a few more attending. Most of the uncles, their daughters and kids of their kids have been getting married in this church for many years. Traditional sit down dinner and dancing followed in a hotel located half way between the counties of the Bride & Groom.
Despite the fact how beautiful the traditional weddings are; not all of you want the traditional.. And thanks to this, we get to enjoy planning lots of "home away from home" weddings each year. And we love it :-)! Don't be afraid to leave the beaten track and do something different! We will always incorporate your traditions into your destination wedding in Prague; whether it's food, music or ceremony type.
Have a great weekend and enjoy few IPhone photos from my trip :-).
Yours,
Natalie
