Prague is a magical city all year around but I feel that at Christmas time it’s especially wonderful.
Christmas in Prague
December 17, 2009
The famous Old Town Square lights up as the Christmas markets open at the beginning of December and invite tourists as well as locals to enjoy the holiday spirit. You can find a variety of traditional Czech products here from wooden toys, puppets to Christmas tree decorations and it is a must to have a sip of the lovely hot wine under the huge Christmas tree. There is also a beautiful Bethlehem and you can hear carols sang by children’s’ choirs which only enhances the beautiful atmosphere. Although the Old Town Square is a very busy place and locals usually just run by, at Christmas time even they stop and take a moment to realize what a wonderful city and wonderful time of the year this is.
Have a lovely Christmas everyone and perhaps see you at the Old Town Square!
