Finally, Spring came to Prague! After the long winter we are so not used to, we welcome Spring with arms open and smiles on our faces.
Easter time
March 31, 2010
Easter holidays are just around the corner and tourists as well as locals are once again going to meet at the famous markets at the Old Town Square. Easter holidays are connected with many traditions in the Czech Republic although many of them are kept only outside of the big cities these days. Despite this, we all like to go for a walk around the streets of Prague which are finally not covered in snow and like to watch the Easter happenings around the town.
If you are planning an Easter break to Prague, markets at the Old Town Square are definitely worth a visit – you can buy (or even make your own) Easter decorations, buy beautifully painted Easter eggs and handcrafted products, Czech crystal or taste some of the very yummy and unhealthy Easter sweets. Perhaps your Spring visit of Prague will inspire you and you will decide for a Spring wedding in Prague next year :-)!
Easter is originally a religious holidays; but no matter what it personally means to you I think that for all of us it means after winter “wake up call” and opportunity to look around with new optimism in our vains. I wish you all a wonderful Easter holidays and especially a wonderful Spring!
